To maximise the impact of our water programming in East Africa it is essential to work with governments, at both National and County levels. Our water programme in Kenya called Maji Bora (better water) we hope will contribute to the country’s Nationally Declared Contributions (NDCs) under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement of 2015.
To qualify, there needs to be a thorough environmental impact assessment of the 607 boreholes we have restored – bringing water to over 1,000,000 people living in rural hardship in Kilifi and Turkana Counties. This film tells some of the story.
